Trading rewards are exchange-sponsored incentive programs that pay users in cash, fee rebates, tokens, or vouchers for meeting a specified trading volume during a defined promotion window. Most run as tiered competitions: the more you trade, the higher your rank, and the larger your share of the prize pool. Some are straightforward fee-rebate schemes — trade $10,000 of spot volume, get 0.05% cashback. Others are zero-sum leaderboards where only the top 50 wallets receive meaningful payouts.

Common risks in this category: market risk from positions held to meet volume thresholds, concentration risk when the rewarded asset is illiquid, and eligibility gotchas (geographic restrictions, KYC tiers, minimum deposit requirements) buried in the fine print. Fee structures also matter — some "rewards" barely cover the maker fees you paid to generate the volume.
